The Girl In the Picture

Bea was a girl who always like to be alone. She would just simply sit in the corner having a notebook and a pen and start writing everything on her mind. While she was busy doing what she likes a guy approach to her and ask if he could take a seat beside her. She look at the the guy and smile as she allows him to sit beside her.Then they started talking the girl laugh as the guy tells her a story.

Then they became friends. The guy introduce her to his friends. They started to go out together and they enjoy each others company. 

A year later the guy has to go abroad. He leave with out letting her know about it. The girl was shocked and hurt. A friend of the guy gave her a letter. The guy apologize in the letter asking her to wait for him. The girl decided to and hope for the guy to return. But they had no communication.

Four years later the girl tired of waiting and lost of hope. She decided to forget him and start a new life. She said that waiting is over. But deep inside her she still hoping.

While she was eating in the restaurant a little girl came up to her and said " it's you" pointing her finger to her. She was puzzled. Then an old woman came to stop the little girl. " It's her the girl in the picture that uncle kept in his wallet." the girl continue. " What is she talking about ?" she ask puzzled looking at the old woman. The old woman look at her and said " she's right you're the girl in the picture that my son has been keeping for a long time." she said. "Son?" she pardon who is your son?" she ask as taking a step closer to the old woman. 

The old woman take her to the hospital. While on their way the woman told her that she is the mother of the guy she's been waiting for. She realized that she had never met his family. Only his friends.

When they reach the hospital they went directly to his room. And there he is lying on his bed. " how is he?" she ask his mother. " His getting better now."she answer and continue. "your picture gives him strength to go through."  

"Why he didn't tell me?" she ask  as her tears fell. "He didn't want you to worry." the woman simply answer and walk out the door. 

She stays in the hospital. She watch him sleeping wondering how much pain he was going through or what his dreams all about. She fell asleep when she feel his hand touching her face. She look up and saw the guy in tears saying sorry to her. She rise and embrace him. " Why you didn't tell me?"  she ask that question she has asked from his mother. "I don't want you to see me suffering from my illness" as he move and sit next her to sit down" I don't want to see you cry " he said as he wiped her tears. " You're so mean.." she said and continue " do you ever imagine how I felt all those years wondering where are you or if you'r doing okay.. and worst of all you leave without saying a word I only got a letter from you." She stop him as he begin to explain " Ssh.. your mother told me everything. I know that you really didn't go abroad. That you were here in this hospital all these years. Anyway how are you." her eyes was full of concern. 

"How did you met her" he ask ignoring her question. She laugh and said " I didn't mean to met her it was just an accident." while they were talking a doctor came to check him up. The doctor look at me and said " isn't she the girl in the picture? "      She smiled and ask about his condition. "He's much better now. I can't see any cancer cells on his body hope they will never come back. And to make sure of that he needs to stay here for more examination and to make sure of his recovery." the doctor explained.

"May I see that famous picture you've been keeping" she ask after the doctor left.

He grab a box under his bed and give it to her. She was shocked because those were all stolen pictures. Before she could ask a question he said " I've been there on your birthdays, and Christmases."

"But how?" she asked.. " My Dear I can't afford to miss any special occasions in your life." he said walking to her and hug her tight. "I wish I was with you in those pictures I was so stupid to let the four years without holding you like this. I miss you so much." he said still hugging her tight. "We can start again if you allow me to wear this ring to you." He pull a ring from his pocket  and show it to her. " where did you get that?" she ask him surprisingly .   " I Have it since the day you let me take a seat to you heart." he said while placing the ring on his finger. "you have to promise me one thing" she said looking straight to his eyes. "Anything you wish my Dear."  " Never leave me again. Can you do that?" she said.

He hug her again and said " promise I will never leave you again....
